Hunter

Since coming to Caring Services, Inc In August 2023, I have learned many things: I have learned to cope with my triggers and to identify my triggers, how to make and keep friendships and healthy relationships, to address my emotions and feelings to my counselor without holding anything back, to be my true self, and how to develop a relapse prevention plan.I have learned how to live happy and healthy, all while being sober. I learned to deal with grief and loss, and my own Issues without wanting to use.... I’m so grateful for this opportunity to be able to say that Caring Services has helped me save my life.

Since coming to Caring Services, Inc. in December of 2022 I have acquired a lot of skills. I have learned how to clean efficiently and effectively. I have learned communication skills that help me every day being a house monitor. I have learned that we do not all cope with things the same way. I have learned that different unhealthy ways of coping need to be shared with staff and not overlooked. I use skills from anger management that I will take with me the rest of my

life. I have learned to walk away. I have learned to thoroughly listen and if I don’t see a healthy situation, it may be time to get outside help. Journaling has been a big tool for me; it not only helps at the given moment but also helps me when I go back and read where I was and where I am now.

Everyone at CSI has impacted my Recovery. To name two people that have done the most for my self-esteem and making me believe that recovery is possible, I would say Marlena and Talia; they are strong, compassionate women that have pushed me with gentle hands to accept who I am and know that I am enough.

Today I am excited about life and my future. I have dreams again and believe that I am developing skills and putting those skills into action that will help me make my dreams a reality. I have also learned that it’s okay to change my dreams along the way, set new goals, and continue along my road of recovery. I am so grateful to CSI and AA that if I lived 1000 lives, I could never repay my debts.

This facility is a wonderful experience all the way around. I’ve been to previous

treatment programs that were nowhere near as amazing as Caring Services. In three months' time I have remained clean, truly been at peace, and happy for the first time in a long time. I owe it all to CSI staff here; it’s been a great journey as I continue to expand my business...the sky’s the limit.
