About the event
This weeks topic is stress management. There are times in life we feel more stressed than others and times we may feel less stressed. Stress can be defined as a state of worry or mental tension caused by a difficult situation. Stress is a natural human response that prompts us to address challenges and threats in our lives. Everyone experiences stress to some degree. Five common warning signs of stress include emotional nad cognitive changes (like irritability and difficulty concentrating), physical symptoms (such as headaches or muscle tension), behavioral shifts (like changes in eating or sleeping habits), social withdrawal, and inability to cope with daily tasks. Additionally it can contribute to a wide range of illnesses, including mental health conditions like anxiety and depression, and physical conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes.
