About the event
This weeks topic is anger. Anger is a basic human emotion of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility, often triggered by perceived threats, injustices, or frustration. It can be expressed outwardly (shouting, aggression, inwardly (self-criticism), or passively (sarcasm, silence). It is important to identify triggers to manage anger as well as cope in the moment by breathing or taking a time out, and address underlying unmet needs or concerns constructively. Common causes of anger are external triggers (events or people that cause a feeling of being threatened, wronged, or disrespected), internal triggers (personal experiences, such as rumination, chronic stress, unresolved emotional pain), unmet needs (persistent feeling that core needs like autonomy, safety, or connection are not being met), and physical and emotional states (fatigue or physical pain).
