Building Stability through Treatment Community
The Caring Services Inc. Transitional Housing Program serves men and women who are 18 and older, experiencing homelessness, and enrolled in substance abuse treatment with the agency. Residential services are provided at 11 locations, all within a mile of the main treatment center. Transitional housing is provided alongside substance abuse treatment services, case management, individual counseling, and independent living skills education.
Participants are able to remain in transitional housing for up to 24 months while they build stability and prepare to transition into independent living. Our housing gives every participant the opportunity to learn to live in a family setting with responsibilities, governance, and structure. This allows individuals to begin learning the dynamics of living in a family environment and taking individual responsibility for choices to prepare them for re-entry into a self-sufficient life in the community without the use of mood-altering substances.
All participants in transitional housing also have access to a food pantry and clothing closet that are located on site.
