We had some major painting projects going on over the long weekend honoring Martin Luther King's birthday! The biggest project was painting our meeting room, which is used 6 days a week for group sessions with program participants and meetings for recovery groups. On Saturday, a few of the Guys Doin' Stuff from St. Pius X Catholic Church in Greensboro patched and primed the walls. On Monday, a group of students from the Hillel Organization at High Point University helped paint the top coats as part of their MLK Day of Service. Throughout the weekend, several members of our Caring Services family painted the front lobby and worked with the HPU students on the meeting room. What an amazing change!
We're so grateful that the Cannon Foundation granted us funds to purchase two new vehicles - one for transporting program participants and the second for collecting donations. Thank you, Cannon Foundation! ❤️
