Family Education Program
Serving family members and loved ones of those in treatment for drug or alcohol addictions
Substance use and addiction does not only affect the person using drugs but their entire family and support network. It is not uncommon for relationships to become strained or damaged due to drug or alcohol use, and for loved ones to feel stress that can negatively affect their own well-being. At times, it can be difficult for family members to know how to react or what actions to take to help their loved one.
Our Family Education Program strives to educate the family members and loved ones about the addiction, treatment and recovery process. We want to help family members and loved ones understand how to best support the person seeking recovery and to provide some resources and strategies that will promote good communication and family healing.
All workshops are held on Saturday from 10am to 3pm. The workshops are free of charge and lunch will be provided.
